I'm glad PMS is giving us a firm date for CII release. All the delays have worried me regarding the firmware update (the 2.0 often mentioned in the manual for most of the advanced features).
Would the development of firmware 2.0 be delayed until the media player functions will be completed (meaning after June 15)? For full grayscale and gamma calibration it would be a real shame.

That is a good question and a road map of future plans would be great.
Also with the problems in integrating the media player will it still have all the promised/anticipated features or have you had to make any changes/compromises in light of the problems encountered.
I know I asked before but my main concern is that it will automatically select the correct output settings based on the source file being played...so that would be one setting for PAL DVDs @ 50Hz, NTSC DVDs @ 48Hz or 60Hz, 50Hz HD files (720p, 1080i/p) @ 50Hz and 60Hz HD files (720p, 1080i/p) @ 48Hz or 60Hz...something which the standalone media player doesn't do but for its own specific reason I gather.
Lastly...with the extra two months to work on the media player will the limitation of playing back high bitrate TS files over the network be solved to you think ?
Cheers, Lee

We will post a road map of features in a couple of days. All promised features will be available, i.e., they are not affected by the media player integration issue.
