Would the CII help with Sharpening HD on my Loewe Aconda

I have a Loewe 38" Aconda CRT direct view that I adore and still use as my primary HD display. The loewe displays HD beautifully, although some say the PQ is slightly soft. I was wondering if the CII would help in that area by improving sharpness on HD sources?
