Hi all (or few... there hasn't been much activity on this forum lately),
I recently bought a used MB100 which has a strange problem. After a cold boot (ie removing the power plug) the unit works fine, but after it's been turned off and on with the remote, there's no audio coming from the left channel. I'm only using the analog outputs, and am currently not in a position to test the optical and/or coaxial digital outputs. Just in case (and because I didn't have any other ideas) I re-flashed the firmware (from 1.3.6 to 1.4.3) but that didn't make a difference. Any idea how to fix this? Thanks, Bernt |

Some further info - I've used the coaxial audio output of the MB100, and the problem doesn't occur on that output, but still on the analog one.

I have avoided the many reported problems of the MB100 by cold booting. I never use the remote to turn it on. I always unplug the unit after use. I know it is a pain for some and totally unacceptable for others but I have learned to live with it. I don't even bother with firmware upgrade anymore as it will most likely introduce more quirks. I have learn certain workarounds for picture freezing from a USB feed inspite of a beta firmware that is specifically made to address the issue. It still freezes and trick play is a hit or miss. I noticed that the most reliable file format for HD video tricl play is wmv 9 but not the best video quality. This is a product that is considered obsolete by all retailers in Hong Kong.
