trp & idx file support

Does anybody have any idea when new firmware will support trp & idx files, as this is the format that my satellite receiver records to, and other media players on the market are now supporting this format?

Hi Notharry,
These .trp files seem to be MPEG2 transport streams, packed in that somewhat special trp-container. TRex from pinnacle systems should be able to remux it into a standard mpeg programstream. Just choose MPEG II PS as output format.

I could only find a download site in german: http://www.pctipp.ch/downloads/audio...acle_trex.html
It's version 1.5.0 and a 60 day trial version by the way.

EDIT: Just found a direct link to a newer version (1.7.4) of TRex in the german Pinnacle Fanboard.

*.sub and *.idx file support is very much needed. PMS is this possible? Maybe a small change but will do a lot. The 1.3.6 firmware with *.sub support?

Unhappy No more features

It look like they finished developing the firmware - look to their roudmap.
They have no reaction to any bugs, no improvment, nothing... we are here alone with our mediabox.

trp is just another file extension for transport stream type media file. trp should plays like other transport stream file with .ts or tp file extension.

If the transport stream file does not play, please make sure the video is in MPEG2 format. Some transport stream may use H264/AVC as the video codec which is not supported on the HD Mediabox.

Currently only .srt subtitle file is supported. We have no plan to support other type of external subtitle.

Dear PMS,

Thank you for your reply. Then I guess I have to hope that you change your plans and incorporates this into coming firmwares

Cheers
